Regular Maintenance Manual of AWAH Z2/Z2-R

       [Abstract] After the input shaft of AWAH-Z2/Z2-R wears out, users can replace it themselves. If the input shaft gear is broken, it should be returned to the factory for repair. Please apply lubricating grease to the gears on schedule to extend lifespan.

1. Wear status and replacement suggestions

of the input shaft gear

(1) Brand-New | Normal use

(2) Level 1 Wear | Normal use

      (3) Level 2 Wear | Suggest to replace

(4) Level 3 Wear | Must be replaced

(5) Gear Broken | Return to the factory for repair

Waring: The ratchet may get stuck by the gear debris, causing locking failure.

2. Replace the Input shaft gear

2.1 Use an electric screwdriver to remove the four screws of the input component.

2.2 Clamp the input shaft with a vise and gently tap Z2 left and right with a rubber hammer, gradually removing the input shaft.

2.3 If the ball bearing comes out, it needs to be installed back to the back cover later, and it should be about 0.5 mm lower than the back cover. Be careful not to hit the ball bearing, otherwise it will be damaged.

Note: After the old input shaft is pulled out, it may be difficult to separate from the ball bearing. Please use a file to polish the gears.

2.3 Insert the new input shaft gear into the ball bearing and install all parts properly.

       The input shaft of AWAH Z2 has 10 teeth, and the input shaft of Z2-R has 12 teeth.

       Attention: Please pay attention to the angle of the handle spring, otherwise it will loosen after installation is completed.

3. Apply lubricating grease

       Rotate at least one circle to check the wear of all teeth on the large gear. While rotating the pulley, apply a small amount of lubricating grease to the large gear.
